This dog is 10-12 inches in height and the weight is12-70 pounds. While some have the face of the Boxer, but with a slightly longer muzzle, most look more Poodle like in coat, this being wavy rather than the tight curls seen on the Poodle.

Some have a short coat like the Boxer so you are able to choose which you would rather have. Most have the longer wavy coat that is soft and luxurious.

The colors that are seen are browns and this is from the dark browns like chestnut, mahogany to the lighter colors such as fawn.

They can have the white we see in the Boxer as well or be in the solid colors we see in the Poodle. Most commonly the dog has long ears that hang down, but you can get dogs with erect ears triangular in shape.

The nose is most commonly big and black in color. Here is a dog that is strong and well built but being in good proportion overall. Life expectancy is not yet known for this breed.

History: This breed was created for people to have the best from the two breeds and also to help with the allergy problems that some people have, allowing them to have a dog.

Both pure breeds have a long history in the working dog line, so you can expect this dog to follow their breeding and be energetic.

Temperament: The Boxerdoodle is an intelligent dog that can train well, as a young puppy. They are loyal and love to be with their family.

As with all dogs this dog will need a good pack leader and firm house rules, to follow. They respond well to firm but gentle, not harsh, training.

Socialize this dog well as a puppy and this will help with any shyness issues they may have. They love to play with children but get on best with slightly older children.

The Boxerdoodle will get on with other pets in the home and even be happy to play with them.

Because of having a lot of energy this dog will need good walks daily and will love it even more if this is a family outing.

This dog is a watchdog and will tell you if someone is coming. They are happy being with the family but if their energy is not used up constructively they can become boisterous and even aggressive.

They do have a mind of their own but this doesn’t stop any training you may wish to do.

Health issues: As this is a young breed, there are no recorded problems.
